On Halloween Day, all of the first graders created a sandwich board of their favorite book and came to school dressed as their favorite character from that book. So even though they weren't supposed to let their Halloween costumes affect their book choice, they were able to dress up for a little while.
Naturally, Railey chose a book about dolphins so early Thursday morning Maysie and I drove to school to watch the parade.
