Today I am thankful for Maysie's amazing teachers who sent me the cutest pictures from their Thanksgiving party.

Christmas Cards….CHECK!

I am officially on a mission.  The reality of Thanksgiving, Christmas AND a new baby in the next three months has set in and I am working to get everything checked off of my list.  As I type, there is a handyman upstairs, an electrician in the backyard, the pest control guy on the way.  Not to mention that my mother is coming up right after Thanksgiving to help me with last minute preparations for family coming in town.  What would I do without her help?!?  I am feeling overwhelmed and on top of things all at the same time.

A couple of weeks ago, my sweet friend Stacey took some adorable pictures for our Christmas cards. I don't want to post the ones we are using but here are a few that were too cute not to share.

About halfway into the shoot, some boy scouts came by on a field trip.  Little Miss Maysie was NOT pleased.

Enough blogging for now….got to get back to work!

Maysie's Halloween Celebration

I don't think that Maysie could have been more excited to dress up as a mermaid for her school Halloween party.  And I do have to say, she made and ADORABLE mermaid!

The kids had all of these cute snacks at the party, complete with Aunt Carol's sugar cookies that Maysie and Railey helped me make.

Look at that arm!

She is already ready to dress up again next year!

Southern Ground Music and Food Festival

For the past three years, the girls and I have gone to Charleston for our favorite concert of the year.  The guys play for two nights at Blackbaud Stadium and Railey and Maysie love playing backstage, watching music and of course spending time with Daddy.

This year, we stayed at a hotel and the girls were beyond excited to sleep on air mattresses for three nights.  On Friday, we made it just in time to watch soundcheck and all of the kids ran around the empty field to get some of the travel energy out of their system.  No surprise that Stacey managed to capture my favorite shot of the weekend in the first five minutes that we were there…

Before the music started, there were plenty of activities for the kids.

Kite Flying

Bike Riding

Sidewalk Chalk

Maysie's favorite…playing with Uncle Stork

And there was even a ferris wheel!  It gave me so much anxiety that I am scarred for life….

I had to include this picture…a signature piece by Aunt Garrett!

And once it was showtime, these kids got a front row seat to it all to watch their favorite…the Zac Brown Band!

Sweet Maysie was ready to go back to the "show and tell" aka, the hotel, before the concert even started.

So I took her up on stage for some QT with Uncle Stork…that did the trick.

The highlight of Railey's weekend came when Daddy took her to meet Clare Bowen who plays Scarlett O'Connor on the series Nashville after she performed with Zac.

And a close second was when she got to toss t-shirts to the crowd.

The next night, Maysie got her turn up on stage to toss some shirts.  My brave girl walked all the way out into the crowd!

Until next year…when I will have THREE little ones!

Another Goddaughter to Love

This past weekend we went to the Virginia Highlands to celebrate the baptism of Jenn and Grant's daughter, Lauren Louise.  I was honored when Jenn and Grant asked if I would be one of her Godmothers and I think Railey and Maysie are equally excited!

Lauren was an angel during the service and it was such a special moment for everyone involved.  Although I didn't get any pictures of Lauren at the church or in her baptismal gown (which Jenn wore when she was baptized…it was made from her mothers wedding gown!) I did manage to get some pictures of the brunch after the celebration!

I still have no idea how they pulled everything together, but the party was amazing.  No detail was overlooked...

The weather was perfect and the kids played outside for hours!

Lauren and her adorable nanny Holly

Aunt Jenn let Maysie feed Lauren, so she was in heaven.

My favorite picture of the weekend…Aunt Jenn with two of her three Godchildren!

Goofing off:)

The light wasn't working with me in this picture but I loved this moment with Lauren and her Nannie.

We were the last ones to leave the party and Railey was still sad to go.  An amazing weekend with amazing friends!

Halloween Night

Halloween night was such an amazing night!  The weather was perfect, kids were happy, Paul was in town and everyone was ready for the annual Blackland Ridge Halloween party.

Before Kaly left for the day, she helped me get the girls dressed

Cade was dressed as some scary guy…can't pronounce his name.  Thank god for little girls.

Look at these sweet friends holding hands.

About ten minutes into the neighborhood party, Maysie announced that she was ready to go home and put on her pajamas.  We left immediately with the Hopkins and started trick or treating.  Lucky for us, she forgot about going home until two hours later.

After Maysie and I came home, Paul took Railey, Colette and Liam around the neighborhood to trick or treat some more.  Based on the candy picture, it was a successful night!
