Three years and one month later I finally did it...I took Railey to get her first haircut. I swear that her hair didn't look bad before I took her but I will admit it was pretty long. If it wasn't for Jason and Mary Heather's wedding, I might have waited three more years!

The Little Girl Who Cried Wolf...Most of the TIme
Bedtime and naptime rituals have become pretty routine around here. Part One: Potty, diaper, read two books to Railey, tuck Railey in, turn off the light and leave the room.
Part two consists of Railey calling our name so we come back in the room to some sort of excuse. Last night she told me that there were two messy gnome's running around her room and that I needed to ask them to leave but typically she just asks me to find one of her favorite toys that we forgot to tuck in with her.
Today Paul and I put her down for her nap (Paul read one book, I read the other) and shortly after I left her room, Railey started yelling for me. Yes, she was yelling , "Help!" but she does tend to overexaggerate sometimes to get her point across (must be a Chanon characteristic). I decided that I had enough and that Railey would have to find another toy or just get over whatever was bothering her at the time.
Three "HELPS" and about 5 minutes later, I broke down and finally walked back into her room. I guess that she showed me that sometimes she REALLY does need me immediately...

Renovation
We did it! Attic renovation is finished and now we just have to pull together a few more things to be fully operational in the attic. Mom came up and helped me for 3 days during the move and already has plans to come back next week to help me put the finishing touches so we are completely ready for Sara Mays. I really don't think that I will ever move from this house...that was HARD!
Feet are completely swollen but I am feeling good. Doctor says that I am measuring two weeks ahead (doesn't mean much since I am having a c-section) so of course I am holding out hope that she will come one week early.
37 days until her arrival...but who's counting:)

Easter Eggs
When my mom dyed Easter eggs with me when I was three years old, I am sure:
- She didn't have to call her mother at least five times because she didn't know how to boil eggs
- She knew to either put me in an apron or old clothes because Easter egg dye doesn't come out
- Boiled the eggs BEFORE she told me that we were going to be dying them so I didn't have to wait patiently for one hour while the eggs cooked and cooled
Even though I am not the egg dying expert that my mother is, Railey had a blast! On Easter morning (didn't get any pictures, just video) she loved her Easter basket and when she realized that the Easter bunny hid eggs around the house she was in heaven!
That night, after I put Railey to bed, she called my name (I was sitting on the couch and she was in her bedroom with the door closed). Without getting up, I said, "What is it Railey?" She said, "Can you please ask the Easter bunny to come again tomorrow?"
3 Years Old
It always used to frustrate me when parnets made obvious statements. Things like, "I just hope the baby is healthy" after being asked if they prefer a boy or a girl or the phrase that I heard a million times growing up about how much time flies by when it comes to your children growing up. Now, reflecting back on the past three years, I realize that just about everything that my parents said was right, especially the part about time flying by so quickly that you can barely believe it.
That is the exact way that I feel about our little Railey turning three this year. It is impossible to imagine our life without her and so exciting to think that in a few short months there will be another little girl that will be three by the time we blink our eyes. She is everything that we could have ever asked for, and her personality is too perfect and outgoing to even describe.
This year we decided to celebrate Railey's birthday at the bounce house with a small group of her friends. Ebe, Jose, Hayden, Trane, Carter, Quinn and James came out to celebrate and Railey couldn't have been happier.
One more year past, now I just need to figure out a way to slow down time.....
