Spring Break Part One - Happy Easter

Spring Break started with my Aunt and cousins from Memphis coming to town.  It just so happened to be Easter, and we loved having a relaxed Easter with family in town!  Sara Britton and Hadley are exactly one year older than my girls so it is the perfect combination.  Easter morning was amazing.  The Easter Bunny really sent so much to the girls and they were blown away!

The girls waited patiently to start the Easter egg hunt, changing into their matching dresses from the Easter Bunny to pass the time until I would let them go.

Ansley participated and took approximately one hour to pick up an egg.  I have to post all of these pictures so you see what we had to go through just to get her to pick up an egg.  Turns out she has bad depth perception and/or like to stop and pose for pictures.

After the hunt the Mommy-of-the-Year Crissa whipped up some bunny pancakes.  Seriously?

And then, it was time for group pictures.  I am shocked that I didn't have to break out a bottle of wine.

I even jumped in a picture:)

It was a great day and a easy and fun weekend….the way it always seems to be when we are with the Memphis family!

And no Easter trip would be complete without a picture with the Easter Bunny!

Railey's 8th Birthday

Railey decided to celebrate her 8th birthday in with a bang and have a slumber party.

The idea of entertaining 8 girls all evening/morning scared me enough to beg my friend Stacey to come over for a photoshoot.  I figured it would take up some time but I couldn't have imagined how cute the pictures would turn out.

Of course we had to get a cookie cake!

We played Kiss the Frog…notice the lipstick on the girls….

Don't let the schedule of events fool you, some of the girls were up until 2:00 a.m.  I woke up at 6:30 to start cooking bacon and pancakes, convinced that they would be up early.  They slept in until 8:30 and were happy campers eating their breakfast.

Next year, I might have to come up with some creative, non-sleepover ideas for a birthday party!

Ansley: 15 Months Old

What a difference two months make!

Ansley is walking EVERYWHERE and has three teeth.  Things have been busy chasing a little one around, so much so that I missed her 14 month update on the blog!  She is saying mama, dada, dog, Railey, sissy, Tutu, and "here you go"...I am sure others that I have forgotten already (or can't understand yet).

Ansley has become much more vocal but is still easygoing as can be.  She wants to hang with the "big kids" which sometimes results in some injuries…like this fat lip.

I am trying my best to transition out of the morning nap…sometimes we take one, sometimes we don't. But here is our typical schedule:

7:30 Wake
10:30 Nap
11:30 Wake and Lunch
1:30  Nap
4:30 Wake
7:30 Bed

Our 15 month stats are:

Weight: 24 pounds 12 ounces - 90th percentile
Height: 32 inches - 90th percentile
Head circumference: 18 1/2 inches - 80th percentile

Life is chaotic, but our family is complete with this little one and we wouldn't change a thing.
