This and That...

The Iphone filled up again and when I downloaded my phone there were some that didn't make the blog.  So here they are, in no particular order.

One of Maysie's Christmas wishes was for me to turn my car into Rudolph...
The newest Blackland Ridge puppy, Lulu!

Jamie loves Ansley

Maysie's obsession with makeup continues.

Although Daddy has been off the road for a while, there have been a few shows here and there.  Here is a picture of the girls when they saw Daddy on TV while ZBB was performing at the National Championship.  Excited is an understatement.

We are soaking up every minute that we have Daddy at home.  It has been nice to have some family time at home without trips every week!

100th Day of School - Second Grade

Sope Creek tradition is for the second graders to dress up as a 100 year old for the 100th day of school. We all know that I love a theme….and this was no exception.

Apparently I was the only person who envisioned a robe and slippers.  Everyone else opted for suits and dresses.

And since they were all dressed up, the second graders all participated in a parade around the school to show off their costumes. This school loves a parade! Thanks to Heather for snapping this picture of Railey and Colette!

Weekend Fun

We opted to stay in town for a low key Martin Luther King weekend. Saturday morning started out with some fort building which took over our entire dining room.  But I didn't care because fort building = quiet time for mama.

The girls found Paul's old show walkie talkies in the closet and they are now the new neighborhood favorite.  Maysie is clearly not impressed.

Saturday night we went to Beau's birthday party, complete with the Varsity, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, and a corn hole tournament with 9 different games set up.  I managed to snap one picture before I over served myself with fattening food.

Sunday night we decided to put together a neighborhood oyster roast.  Thanks to Jamie for roasting oysters the entire night.

Railey was in her happy place with her bestie Colette.  But on another note, why does my Iphone take the worst quality pictures ever?

And we managed to find another Christmas tree to burn.

Sunday was busy with haircuts and a little target practice. The girls had a blast playing with Sumry's dogs and at her salon.  Thank goodness for girlfriends who can make me look presentable!

Maysie begged Daddy to take her in the backyard to shoot the air rifle.  I should have shot a video because she had the trigger pulled while she was posing for these pictures.  Nothing could stop her from target practice…even Mommy snapping a picture.

Now back to reality…the next day off of school is Spring Break in April!

Real Girls Love Monster Trucks

It is that time of year that Monster Jam comes to Atlanta….only this time, Maysie was old enough to join in on the fun.

These five little ladies loved the show!

Ansley: One Year Old

Last month I used my last bit of Dreft and mixed my last bottle of formula.  These are milestones that I celebrated with Railey and Maysie, and still do now with Ansley, but with a little less enthusiasm because my last baby is growing up so fast.

Ansley you were the perfect completion to our family.  It is still hard to believe that we are a family of five, much less with three girls, but we wouldn't have it any other way.

You are happy, laid-back, and independent.  Showing all signs to be the confident girl that both of your big sisters are.  In the past month you have become a bit of a mama's girl and speak your mind when I decide to leave the room.  But once I am out of sight you go back to your old ways, and are able to hold your own in this crazy home.

You are drinking whole milk now, but only a couple of bottles a day and we have moved away from baby food and you now eat real food.  Quesadillas, yogurt and mandarin oranges are some of your favorites.  Still NO teeth so we have to be a little cautious about what we feed you although I have no doubt that you could gum steak if we put it in front of you.

You are still taking two naps a day, although I have started to shorten your morning nap in hopes that the transition to one afternoon nap will be easy.  Current schedule is:

7:30 wake and feed breakfast
10:00 nap
11:30 wake and feed lunch
1:30 nap
4:00 ish wake and feed bottle
6:30 feed dinner
7:30 feed bottle then bed!

You are not walking yet, but why walk when mama carries you everywhere and you have two sisters to bring toys throughout the day?

We love you baby Ansley!  Happy birthday to YOU!

Bring on 2015!

In the fourteen years since I met Paul, he finally was off the road on New Years Eve.  It comes with the territory and was definitely reason to celebrate.  And celebrate we did.

We gathered with our friends at a local antique store/event space and celebrated a rare NYE in Atlanta at a 20's themed party that will go down in the books.  Here are a few of my favorite pictures.

It didn't take too long for us to venture into the antique store for some photo opportunities.

Happy 2015 to everyone!!!
