Camp Helen

This weekend we headed to Rock Island to celebrate Deana's 40th birthday.  We happily traded our usual dinner and drinks for a relaxed weekend at Camp Helen, the Levine's river house.

The farm up the street from the river house made Goat Island look boring.  Not only were there goats, but also alpacas, a camel and the sweetest dog named Buck.

Josephine, aka Baby

Day Two we decided to go explore Fall Creek Falls.  Complete with a suspension bridge...four of us decided to cross it.  Probably not the smartest decision of the weekend considering that as we walked on the bridge, we noticed duct tape at some of the joints.

And then it was off to the Foglight Foodhouse for a nice dinner.  We should have known it would get a little crazy when we popped the bottle of Dom while waiting for our table.  After meeting some new crazy friends at the next table and having a sing off, the staff told all of us that they had been closed for 1 hour and we needed to leave.

We love you Deana!  Here's to 40 more years of friendship!
