Welcome to Atlanta

The Jordan's made the move to the big city and Downing and Courtney came over for a playdate. The two munchkins were due on the same day and are so cute together I can't stand it.
Downing ears were the main attraction
Even he tried to check them out

Ten days ago....

Ten days ago, I wrote that Sara Mays had finally started to crawl. A little later than her big sister, but second time parents tend to be much more patient than the first time around. Today, my baby has figured out how to pull herself up...things are officially moving way too fast. Not because of babyproofing, constant chasing around or keeping the tables clear of everything, but because it is a reminder of just how quickly this little one will grow up just as fast as Railey did.

Where is the slow motion button????

Healthy Baby

Sara Mays will disown me one day for this post, but I just can't resist the chunkiness in these pictures....

Teddy Bear Picnic

Received this email from Railey's teacher today:

Sorry for the late notice...I think my brain took a vacation when the ice came!

Tomorrow we are going to have our teddy bear picnic. Your child is welcome to bring their favorite teddy bear or stuffed animal to have snack with us. Thanks and hope all's well!

Becky

Well, I told Railey all about the teddy bear picnic and that she could bring her favorite teddy bear or stuffed animal. This is what she chose....

And She's Off!

In the past few days, Maysie has mastered the art of crawling, sitting up on her own and exploring every last inch of our living room! Let the babyproofing begin:)

"Raileyism"

Me: Railey pull up your pants
Railey: So nobody can see my cute little fanny?

Let It Snow

Atlanta and snow don't mix....officially. Our first snow day of the season, although a blast for Railey, turned into one week without school or Tsige. Even Maysie got in on the fun!

Schmidty, aka Uncle Ba, was in town and stayed to help with the girls a couple of days. He was definitely the saving grace, playing outside with Railey and even turning the top of the recycling bin sled into hours of fun.

Maybe the top of the tupperware bin will work better...

Even Aunt Lynn knew that I was about to lose it wanted to come over and help.

One last picture...look at this whenever you are having a bad day.

Sara Mays Baptism

Little Maysie was baptized today at Holy Trinity in Decatur, GA. Paul, Railey and I are so blessed to have so many friends and family come to celebrate our baby girl. The ceremony went perfectly....the only minor glitch was that big sister Railey insisted on wearing Maysie's bonnet throughout the service. It woudl have made for a cute picture but I couldn't bring myself to pull out the Canon while sitting in church. I kind of regret that now...
After the service, we headed to our house for a brunch. You will notice that my mother is missing from these pictures. That's because the "hostess with the mostess" was busy getting the house ready and making everything easy for her favorite daughter.
Note to self. Get a family picture BEFORE you leave for the service or it will never happen:)

Christmas at the Browns

One of my favorite new traditions since Paul started with the band is the annual Christmas party at the Brown's. Luckily, Jolie is always there to capture the sweet memories of the kids with Santa.
Railey was so excited to see Santa and tell him EVERYTHING she wanted this year...
Family picture with Santa
Aunt Jojo never stops! She made these snow globes for all of the kids!
Little Maysie...happy and content as can be
With Aunt Lynn
Railey's two favorite things about going to the Brown's Justice
And Spotty
What an amazing "family" that we have become a part of.

New Year New "Do"

One of my MANY New Year's resolutions is to teach Railey how to be more charitable. Although she is a wonderful and sweet little girl, I can't help but cringe everytime we go to the store and she asks what I am going to buy her. Are you kidding me? One full closet of toys isn't enough?

So, Railey and I decided that we were going to donate her hair in honor of our two cousins who lost their hair this year.
