Oh Christmas Tree

On our way out to the Brown's Thanksgiving party, we stopped at a Christmas tree farm to pick out our Christmas tree. It took Railey no time at all to find the perfect tree for our house.

We ran into Santa so Railey got to sit on his lap again and then it was onto Pancho for a pony ride. I think horseback riding is in Railey's future...

Let the Holidays begin!

Christmas Card Pictures

We had a little scheduling problem with the photographer and that left me to attempt to take the Christmas card pictures for mom. Needless to say, I have a new respect for children photographers....after what seemed like a thousand pictures we finally decided on this one.

I do have to say that Railey was the best behaved...but this was because I bribed her. "Railey, if you smile and sit still, you can get in the swimming pool after we take the pictures." I think it is safe to say that the happiest child on the planet managed to get a little happier...

Sara Mays

Before our eyes, six months have passed. Now, it is time for the next milestone in Sara Mays' life...solid foods! We thought there would be no better day to introduce our baby to rice cereal than on Thanksgiving Day!

Aren't those cheeks perfection?!?

Thanksgiving Part 2

Thanksgiving in Tallahassee was jam packed but really relaxing at the same time. Caden and Railey played so well together and they didn't stop the entire time they were there.

Railey and her new friend Lovey learned to play golf with Poppy

Caden's basketball skills were nothing short of amazing...it is clear that he got them from his momma

Miracles do happen, they finally calmed down...

Thanksgiving

Railey's Thanksgiving program was a hit. I spent most of my time recording the program but did manage to take a few pictures of her class.

And this has to be my favorite piece of artwork to date. Miss Becky didn't quite understand that our cat's name is Rawwrr, not Ralph.

Santa Claus is coming to town!

We visited Santa Claus today...Railey was all smiles and Sara Mays was just as good and cute as ever.

After our visit to Phipps, we came home and played dress up. First, Railey had to dress up as a princess...

Then she moved on to my new boots...

CMA Awards!

mama got a night out on the town and when I do it, I do it right! Stacey DeMartini is a couple of weeks away from delivering baby #2 and I got to be Jimmy's date for the 2010 CMA awards! Didn't get to take many pictures but here is one...

The boys won Best New Artist so it was, to say the least, an amazing night!

Tiny the Hamster

Nothing like good old Facebook to keep me updated on what is going on at Railey's school. Today, Miss Becky posted "RIP Tiny the Hamster" as her status update. I immediately responded by asking if Railey had anything to do with it. I have found lately that Railey loves all small animals, and sometimes she loves them a little too much. Here was Miss Becky's response:

No she fed him this morning and he didn't come out, so Mrs. Harp checked and he was lethargic but still breathing so we left him alone. Then she checked again while they were in music and he was no longer with us! We kept joking that he was... on crack the last few weeks because he was literally climbing the walls of his cage. Guess he was just suffering from the mental toll of old age.

I briefly mentioned in carpool that Tiny was asleep forever and we would be getting a new hamster. Sadie looked rather sad until Railey said, "Oh good, we can call it Railey." I could barely contain my amusement!

He was a good hamster though. :(

So RIP sweet Tiny, Railey loved you so much. And for the new hamster...I apologize in advance for all of the love and attention that Railey will be giving you....
