Last Day of School Birthday Celebration

The last day of school was especially fun this year because it was Maysie's 6th birthday! We continued the tradition of an ice cream truck in the culdesac...along with music, bubbles and more silly string than you can imagine!

This year, Ansley and Grace were old enough to enjoy the ice cream treats...

But it was a little close to nap time so they weren't too happy when we told them they couldn't have more.

These two were counting the minutes until everyone cleared out of the culdesac so the pool party could begin!

William and Jake are going to be mad at me one day for these pictures....but honestly, who can resist a mermaid tail?

This year, we decided to let each family be in charge of appetizers and drinks for an hour.  The Coxes won for the most creative with their Hawaiian theme.

This picture sums up the night....school's out for summer!!!!

Maysie's 6th Birthday

Maysie's bowling birthday party was a blast but trying to manage 20 kids without Paul made it impossible to take pictures with my "real" camera....so the Iphone pictures will have to do!

The highlight of Maysie's day had to be when she went into the ticket machine.  This has always been a dream for BOTH of my girls...it's the little things.

The staff was amazing and Jenn and Grant stayed too to help manage the chaos.  She acted indifferent about the balloon hat but I could tell that she was loving being the center of attention.

A few friends came to our house afterwards to watch Maysie open presents....

It looks like Marlene and Jenny were exhausted from leaving their kids with me and going next door to eat, drink and be merry:)

Next party...better pictures....promise.

Mayla Lacrosse Tournament

I didn't manage to get any pictures of the girls in action playing lacrosse but couldn't help but to pull out my phone for the fun in between games....such a fun group of girls!

Sope Creek KidsTown

One of my favorite Kindergarten traditions at Sope Creek is KidsTown.  Each classroom is setup as a store and the kids can shop for items with money they have earned for good behavior.  I was busy working the in the art store so I only managed to snap one picture....no surprise that Maysie picked out the biggest stuffed animal for our growing collection.

Reese's Baptism

It was finally sweet Reese's turn to get baptized...and the girls were so excited to celebrate!

Isn't this picture just the sweetest...Reese and her Aunt April having a bonding moment.

And then Railey realizing that I was trying to get a picture and doing her part to get the perfect smile from Reese.

Godsisters:)

We love you Reese!

Spring Sports

Spring in East Cobb means sports, sports and more sports!  Railey is playing lacrosse and Maysie chose soccer....which means some crazy Saturdays since Paul is usually on the road on the weekends!

Ansley is becoming a little bit easier to manage at the games.  She doesn't quite understand to cheer for her sisters but does sit still for small periods of time so I can cheer them on.

Maysie is the youngest in her league this season but that doesn't seem to bother her!  Her favorite part about being on the Pink Penguins is that she gets to play with Celie.

The Gang

It is hard to believe how much this group has changed over the past 8 years.....

and even crazier to think how many more kids will be in this picture in just five more years!

Railey's 9th Birthday: The Scavenger Hunt

All Railey wanted for her 9th birthday was a sleepover and I just didn't have the energy this year for that much fun.  So I told Railey to trust me and I would plan a fun birthday during the daytime.  Paul and I decided on a scavenger hunt.

We invited 12 girls over and even though they had plenty of guesses, they had no idea of what was in store for them.  It all started with Clue 1:

About 10 seconds after giving them this clue, I realized that I wasn't going to be able to keep up with the energy of this group.  They bolted over to the Harwell's treehouse where they found clue 2 which read,

Every morning at 6:55
we walk out the door
Go to the place where you catch the bus
but this time you will find much more

Then when they arrived at the bus stop, they were greeted by a big white hummer limousine to take them to their next clue,

Even though this limo
is sure to be hopping
you need to head to the place
where you choose lots of toppings!

Finally, at Yogi Mogli, they stayed still long enough for me to get some pictures.

 The fourth clue was,

By now you must be wondering
where could our next clue be?
Visit the place you go
and are greeted by Dr. D!

But before we went to Sope Creek, we headed home to drop off Ellie, pick up Colette and let the girls run off some energy in our backyard.  To say they were excited was an understatement.  When Ellie's dad pulled up the girls all circled around her to say goodbye.

The last clue was the hardest....I knew that only Railey would get it.

Now its time for our final destination
and you are sure to have some fun
this is the place where Railey’s Aunt
practiced to become Number ONE!

After a few more clues, she finally figured out that we were going roller skating!

After about an hour of roller skating and playing games, we loaded up in the limo one last time to go home for birthday cupcakes.

Happy birthday to our fun, sweet almost 9 year old.  We love you so much!
