When did my baby girl grow up and start after school activities?!? This is all going by way too fast. Railey was so excited for her first day of ballet class that she couldn't even nap. This picture says it all...

Paci Fairy
Whoever said that major changes in children's lives are much harder on parents must not have had kids. Today, during nap time, the paci fairy visited the Chanon household. It all started perfectly. Railey and I went to Target and picked out a toy that she wanted. I slipped it in our cart and managed to check out without my nosy perceptive child noticing. About 30 minutes before nap, we gathered all of her pacifiers (nine to be exact) and put them on her dresser. I read her two books and left the room. Minutes later, I heard Railey calling for the paci fairy so when I went into her room she was laying on her bed, feet propped up, facing the dresser so she wouldn't miss any of the action. One hour later she fell asleep and wouldn't you know it, her Dora doll appeared where she had left her pacifiers.
Fast forward to bedtime. I quickly realized that she had missed the point of this fairy that visited our house. She called me back into the room to let me know that I had forgotten her paci. I told the story...AGAIN...and left. Then I heard her crying so I went back into the room to explain exactly why she couldn't have her pacifier...it seemed to calm her down. Not so much. She now is screaming " I don't want to be a big girl", "I want to be a baby", and "I don't like the paci fairy.".
She did stop crying long enough to say bless you when i sneezed so I guess that is progress.......

Road Trip!
It's official, Railey LOVES being on the road with her daddy. We rented a tour bus with the Hopkins and DeMartini's and headed to Raleigh for band rehearsal. Railey would barely take off her headphones and ran around backstage for three days straight. I am beginning to think that Railey is going to like being in the spotlight:) Baby Grace was a cute as can be and James got caught on the "kiss cam!"
It looks like this is going to be the first of many fun trips we get to take!!!
