The Road Trip: Zac Brown Band in Tampa

Thank goodness the girls slept on the ride home from SeaWorld, because we had plans to go to the Zac Brown concert that night in Tampa.  We showered and quickly headed out the door to the show.

The original plan was for Laura and her husband to meet me but Laura had a surprise for me and brought Sulein.  Laura was my suitemate freshman year at Jennie Murphree dorm and Sulein and I lived together our Senior year.

It was just like old times, except with a 7 year old and 4 year old in tow.

Even though neither of them were familiar with ZBB, we had a blast and they kept me cracking up the entire night.

The girls made it the entire night…we only left 20 minutes before the show ended to beat traffic.  What a day!

Zac Brown Band in Chattanooga

We decided to continue the birthday celebration and take the older girls to the Zac Brown show in Chattanooga, TN.  Ansley must have been upset about being left out, because about 30 minutes after we left town, she decided to roll over for the first time at 2 1/2 months.  Next time I leave town without her, she will probably do a cartwheel to spite me!

We rode up with The Crawfords and even though I didn't bring my good camera, I snapped a few pictures with my Iphone.  After sitting in our seats for a few songs, we decided to watch the rest of the show from the side of the stage so we could be with Paul.

Sweet T-Bird is always so good about gathering the kids to do the t-shirt toss.  It is the highlight of the trip!  I think I would have been terrified at that age to be in front of thousands of screaming people!

ZBB in Fayetteville

As the girls get older, they are becoming more vocal about missing their Daddy while he is on the road.  Since Railey had Fall Break, she took a mini vacation with Paul on the tour bus to Fayetteville.  Although it is only one hour away, she still got the full concert experience.....hanging with Daddy backstage and on the tour bus until the show started.

Maysie and I decided to join them for the show, and since we are close to Halloween, it was Zombie themed.  At first the girls (especially Maysie) were a little weary of the scary faces, but they warmed up and the kids even decided to get their faces painted.

Georgia and Maysie opted for princess makeup...

This picture just cracks me up. Princess Maysie is trying to hold her arms up like a zombie to copy the big kids...and check out Lucy's face.  Priceless.

We ran into T-Bird and it took Railey a couple of minutes to recognize her!

And here are a couple more of my favorites captured by Stacey.  Maysie checking out the venue and the Chick-Fil-A cow.

Even though Railey was beyond excited to stay on the tour bus that night, she still wanted her mama to stay until the end of the concert.  So Maysie and I stayed until 10:15 when everything was done.  Another great concert!

Railey on the Road

This past weekend, Railey finally got her chance to ride with Daddy on the tour bus to a show.  It may have only been in Fayetteville, GA, but she still got the experience she has been waiting for!  I am very proud of Paul for taking a few pictures for me:)

The Real Celebration!

Thanks to Jolie Kimmel for capturing these pictures of Paul's birthday celebration at BamaJam!  Now I know why he would only agree to a low key party:)

Poor T-Bird....Paul got his revenge!

Railey's Big Debut!

About a month ago, Paul told me that little Railey was going to be in the newest Zac Brown Band video, No Hurry.

The next day, while Railey and I were on our way to school, we had this conversation:

Me: Railey, Daddy told me some good news! You are going to be in the next Zac Brown Band video! Railey: Oh my gosh Mommy! I can't wait to be in the video! What am I doing?

At this point, I realized that my almost five year old child thought that she was going to be the only one in the video. I tried to think of the most creative ways to backtrack, but could only come up with the truth.

Me: Oh Railey, you do realize that Zac and the band are going to be in most of the video, and there is probably just going to be a quick picture of you.
Railey: Zac ALWAYS does that to me!

When Railey stands side stage with her Daddy, she looks out to 20,000 screaming fans and thinks that each and every one of them is there to see HER! I have never tried to post a link on this blog, so hopefully it will work. Railey is at the 3:30 mark....

CMA Awards!

mama got a night out on the town and when I do it, I do it right! Stacey DeMartini is a couple of weeks away from delivering baby #2 and I got to be Jimmy's date for the 2010 CMA awards! Didn't get to take many pictures but here is one...

The boys won Best New Artist so it was, to say the least, an amazing night!
