Maysie's Halloween Celebration

I don't think that Maysie could have been more excited to dress up as a mermaid for her school Halloween party.  And I do have to say, she made and ADORABLE mermaid!

The kids had all of these cute snacks at the party, complete with Aunt Carol's sugar cookies that Maysie and Railey helped me make.

Look at that arm!

She is already ready to dress up again next year!

Halloween Night

Halloween night was such an amazing night!  The weather was perfect, kids were happy, Paul was in town and everyone was ready for the annual Blackland Ridge Halloween party.

Before Kaly left for the day, she helped me get the girls dressed

Cade was dressed as some scary guy…can't pronounce his name.  Thank god for little girls.

Look at these sweet friends holding hands.

About ten minutes into the neighborhood party, Maysie announced that she was ready to go home and put on her pajamas.  We left immediately with the Hopkins and started trick or treating.  Lucky for us, she forgot about going home until two hours later.

After Maysie and I came home, Paul took Railey, Colette and Liam around the neighborhood to trick or treat some more.  Based on the candy picture, it was a successful night!

Trick or Treat

Rapunzel bride and Tinkerbell were so excited to go trick or treating this year.  Before we loaded up the truck to go to the neighborhood party, I remembered to take a picture.  Is it just me, or has Maysie grown up overnight?!?

The Hopkins and DeMartinis came to meet us and I just couldn't resist to get Railey's picture taken with Belle and the Beast!

And no party would be complete without a picture of Railey and Buie!

Capri Sun in one hand, beer in the other.  That's how the Beast rolls.
After eating dinner and watching the kids play, it was time to go trick or treating!   Oh Maysie, whenever someone would answer the door, she would run in the house to play.

To top it all off, Colette showed up right when we started trick or treating so Railey got to spend time with her other "sister!"

What a difference a year makes 2011...not so much with the costume choice but with how much the girls have grown up in one short year!  Happy Halloween!

Disney Bound!!!

Since it was the end of the tour, Zac offered to treat the band and crew to a "little" trip to Disney World. I knew this before, but really hadn't experienced it firsthand, that when Zac does something, he does it right. The tour bus picked us up and our first stop was Zac and Shelly's for a Halloween party to wear the kids out before the trip down to Orlando.

Here is my little Dorothy and lion...

Railey had no idea what was even in store for her and was nothing but smiles

After our overnight drive to Orlando (Sara Mays might be the only newborn that doesn't love riding on buses) we pulled into the park. Not only were we staying on property at the Animal Kingdom but Zac had arranged for a tour guide to take us around each day. This meant Disney without waiting in lines....does life get any better?!?

Railey put on her Belle costume and we were off to the park. First stop, Bippity Boppity Boutique of course!

And then to meet her Fairy Godmother

What an amazing day...Peter Pan, It's a Small World, Racecars, Buzz Lightyear, Dumbo and I am sure many more that I am forgetting...

Sara Mays was an angel the entire trip. Spent most of her time quietly in the stroller when I wasn't feeding her...

We finally ran into the Brown's and Railey got some time in with her new BFF Justice...

And what better way to end the first day than to meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse. We were exhausted!!!

Day two we decided to go to the Animal Kingdom. As if waking up to zebras, ostrich, giraffes and antelope right outside our bedroom window wasn't enough. We met up with the Brown's again so Railey got more time with their girls...

We decided to go to the Lion King show which I highly recommend. Railey was chosen to get up for the show and "perform"...not sure how this keeps happening to her but she loves every minute of it.

This is my favorite picture...black eye and all...it sums up Railey's entire Disney experience.

What an amazing trip...our first one as a family of four.

Until next time when Sara Mays will be able to join in the festivities too!

Halloween Party

Could there be anything cuter than a bunch of three year olds dressed up for Halloween? Some of them wanted to change out of their costumes immediately, while others (like Railey) were still wearing their costumes 4 hours later at carpool line.

Next stop....DISNEY WORLD!!!
