Shooting the Hooch

The day before school started, we loaded up Railey to Shoot the Hooch for Jimmy's birthday.  It was the perfect end to our first full Summer in East Cobb.

Railey and Grace were excited to leave their little sisters behind and spend some quality time with mommy and daddy.

Luckily, we had our fearless leader Hop to lead the way down the Chattahoochee...shouting "SHOOT IT" the entire way down.

Railey bounced from the tubes to the boat the entire time.  She "babysat" Tbird...

and was official drink holder for Sumry

We are so lucky so have such an amazing group of friends!  Next stop...Kindergarten!

First Impressions

Today was the day that we went to Sope Creek to meet Ms. Gunning and Ms. Irrgang, Railey's new Kindergarten teachers.  The school is beyond perfect and her classroom was great as well.  Being the worrier, I was disappointed that Railey didn't know anyone in her class but by the time we left, she had already made three new friends.

As we were leaving, we walked up to Ms. Gunning to say good-bye.

Me: It was nice to meet you Ms. Gunning, feel free to email me if you would like me to sign up to bring snack the first week of school since nobody has signed up yet.
Ms. Gunning: Thank you so much, but we already have that taken care of
Me: Sounds great, well let me know if you need anything!

Railey just couldn't resist.

Railey: Please don't ask my mommy to do anything, she is TOO BUSY!
Mrs. Gunning: And Railey, who is keeping your mommy so busy
Railey: My Daddy!

Mrs. Gunning was still laughing as we were walking out of the room.  I now think she really understands how much fun this year is going to be with Railey Chanon in her class:)

Cousins

Last Christmas, my sister-in-law and I decided that going forward, we would travel to see each other at least once a year.  Earlier this year, we made the trip down to Florida (http://chanonfam.blogspot.com/2012/01/best-weekend-ever.html) and this past weekend, Amanda loaded up the girls to come to Marietta.  The great news is, they love each other like sisters.  The only bad news...they fight like sisters too:)

The first day of the trip overlapped with Tutu and Poppy's visit.  Ella and Claire were calling out for Tutu and "the other Poppy" just as much as my girls.

Railey and Ella attempted to sleep in the same room.  I don't think we made it an entire night with both of them in the room but we get an "A" for effort.  These two are so cute together.

As for the two year old twins, aka Claire and Maysie, they took turns screeching at each other or playing.  The screeching especially happened whenever we got in the car.

We went to Catch Air twice!  Once with the little girls and also for a birthday party.

The slide was very popular with some of the girls

And not so popular with others

We took them to hibachi and Yogli Mogli

We met Stacey and Joseph at East Cobb park

On Sunday night, Amanda's friend from college came with her two kids, even more fun!

Brooks was a HUGE hit with Railey

We love watching these girls growing up together...and can't wait for all of the memories to come.
