Happy Fall Y'all!
The weather is getting cooler so the girls and I decided that it was time for a trip to the pumpkin patch. We opted to go to the "in town" patch this time so we could get home in time to carve the monster pumpkin for Ansley.
The girls were so precious so I decided to pull out my camera, despite the tacky surroundings of the garage. Lucky for me, Railey decided to give me an extra special smile. I had a talk with her that went something like, "Seriously Railey, we have a total of three pictures of the three of you together."
So we decided to take more. Some were successful….

Frozen Disney on Ice: Meeting Anna and Elsa
THE GIRLS MET ELSA AND ANNA. For those of you who have kids, you know what a big deal this is.
This past Summer, we decided to take the kids to see Frozen: Disney on Ice. It turns out that Paul had some surprises in store for us. We were invited to walk the "blue" carpet and then the kids were taken upstairs and given gifts, to eat dinner, do arts and crafts and then got to meet Anna and Elsa!
Railey was ready to go when Anna and Elsa arrived…Maysie, on the other hand, was a little nervous.
Not sure what my girls were doing in this picture but we managed to get all of the kids together for one picture. |
By the time we made it to watch the show, I think the kids were drained from all of the excitement! Immediately after the show, the buses were waiting to take the guys away to their next show so Mandy and I loaded up and drove three exhausted girls back to Marietta.

Ansley: 9 Months Old
Weight: 20 pounds 3 ounces - 80th percentile
Length: 28 1/4 - 65th percentile
Head circumference - 17 1/4 inches - 50th percentile
What a difference a month makes.
Shortly after my last blog post, Ansley started crawling. Two weeks after that, she is pulling herself up on anything and everything in sight. Let the fun begin!
Ansley went to her first Zac Brown Band concert the past weekend and unfortunately got a little sick but handled it like a champ. She got to meet all of Daddies co-workers and made herself right at home backstage with all of the other kids!
We have moved on to size 4 diapers and are slowly feeding her more "real" food. I think she has said "dog" a few times but maybe it is just wishful thinking.
We are getting close to the holidays and Ansley's first Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Ansley LOVED the mirrors in the hotel room. |

Soccer Soccer Soccer
With BOTH girls participating in soccer this year, things have gotten pretty busy on Saturdays. Railey is now playing NASA soccer and is on the Twisters. She is, of course, having a blast and is really one of the "stand outs" of her team.
Sometimes these girls are more interested in playing around than playing soccer:)
But my favorite moment of the season so far had to be Coach Matt's pep talk before the last game when he offered $5 to the player that showed the most enthusiasm and hustle. You should have seen the improvement!
When he gave the $5 prize at the end of the game, he said to "remember you are now a paid professional athlete so this may affect your eligibility for the Olympics." Hilarious.
On the other hand, Maysie is all business when she walks on the soccer field. We have had to remind her a number of times not to take the ball from her teammates and to be careful about pushing other players. I guess that all of the rough-housing between her and Railey is going to pay off in the sports category.
They might look cute, but the Pink Pixies mean business!
See what I mean about her aggressiveness?
Half of the time, I find the parents of Maysie's "victims" and apologize…the other half, I pretend like I didn't see a thing.
For those of you who know my dad, you know that watching the girls play soccer was the highlight of his trip to Marietta.
And I had to include a picture of sweet Ansley, who is always happy to cheer on her sisters in anything they do!

Boosterthon 2014
Railey participated in another Boosterthon Fun Run this year, and as in years past, was all smiles the entire time. Sope Creek raised a record breaking $89,000!!!
This year we had a couple of new additions to the cheering section for the Blackland Ridge brat pack….Ansley and Grace.
